A virtual session on “Higher Studies, Employments & Skilled Migration to Germany” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), aiming to guide students toward global academic and professional opportunities.
The session featured Mr. Tanvir Kabir, Founding Advisor of the Center for Science, Technology Policy & Diplomacy (CSTPD); Counsellor (Political & Projects); and Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Berlin, Germany, as the keynote speaker. With his strong background in diplomacy and international engagement, he provided valuable insights into higher education pathways, employment prospects, and skilled migration opportunities in Germany.He discussed recent trends in Germany’s demand for skilled professionals, particularly in engineering, IT, and technical sectors, and emphasized the importance of academic preparation, technical expertise, and language proficiency for Bangladeshi students aiming to build careers abroad.The session, conducted via Zoom, encouraged students to think globally and align their skills with international standards. Participants actively engaged in discussions regarding application processes, career planning, and real-world challenges of working and studying in Germany.
