His leadership has been instrumental in the company’s success. Additionally, he worked as an Economic Growth Technical Specialist at FSSP, Global Affairs Canada. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer at Rentease (BD) Limited, overseeing the entire AWP operation in Bangladesh and supporting Rentease International in expanding abroad.
His strategic decisions and management skills were key to the company’s growth. Before joining Rentease BD, Mr Subail was the Director of Sarens Bangladesh Private Limited, a subsidiary of Sarens NV, Belgium, responsible for its full operation. He launched the Sarens Bangladesh operation in 2015, marking a significant achievement in his career. From Sarens, he expanded business in Thailand and Myanmar, demonstrating his international business acumen.
He is also a Director of Save Medical Limited, a hospital under construction in Bosila, Dhaka, as part of his social responsibility. Before Sarens, Mr Subail worked at Rahimafrooz Renewable Energy Limited (RREL), focusing on project development and participating in local and international bids. Under his leadership, the second-largest off-grid solar project globally, with a capacity exceeding 650 kWp, was successfully developed, showcasing his exceptional project management skills.
Earlier, he worked at Getco Trading and established Dhaka’s first gas-driven CNG station—a pioneering initiative. He began his career at One Spinning Mills as an assistant engineer, where he developed his technical skills.
He also worked as a technical consultant at ULAB on a USAID renewable energy project. Additionally, he served as a consultant for Telus International to develop Google Bangla in this region. He has worked as a Wind Measurement Expert under an ADB project in an STA. Besides his professional pursuits, he has hosted several TV programmes. He remains a columnist on various news portals, including Prothom Alo, Manabzamin, and Business Standard, the most circulated Bangla newspaper in the world.
Mr Subail’s academic journey exemplifies his dedication to continuous learning and professional growth. He earned a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Dhaka. He also pursued a Doctorate of Business Administration and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cost Management and Accounting, further broadening his expertise.
He led various training sessions at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), BUET, Flaments Consultants, Youth Carnival, JCI, KUET, Brac University, ULAB, AUST and Rahimafrooz, sharing his knowledge with others. Additionally, he served as an Industrial Advisor at Green University, was a former member of the Trade Committee of Foreign Investors and the Chamber of Commerce, and currently participates in numerous social platforms, including Nagorik Coalition, Bangladesh Research Analysis and Information Network (BRAIN), Centre for Policy, Technology, and Science Diplomacy, JCI, IEB, Solar Society, BFSF, and Youth Carnival.
He received “Excellence in Operational Leadership” from the Bangladesh Clean Energy Week 2025, the ‘Occupational Ergonomics Award’ from the IEOM society in 2022, and was named ‘Most Aspiring Member’ of JCI Dhaka West in 2016 for his societal contributions.
His thought leadership is demonstrated through two conference papers on sustainable development published in Indonesia and Sri Lanka.
