CSTPD Delegation Visits Nepal Embassy to Strengthen Science Diplomacy

At a time when global challenges require shared solutions, science diplomacy is emerging as a powerful bridge for building meaningful international cooperation. In this spirit, a delegation from the Center for Science, Technology Policy and Diplomacy CSTPD visited the Embassy of Nepal to advance innovation driven partnerships and strengthen regional collaboration between Bangladesh and Nepal.

The meeting was centered on youth empowerment and the role of science, culture, and sports in creating new opportunities for young people while strengthening people to people connections. STEAM education, research collaboration, and international exposure were highlighted as key areas of cooperation. Discussions also addressed important social priorities including public health, education, social inequality, and inclusive development.

The CSTPD delegation was led by ambassador Mustafa Kamal, Vice Chairman of CSTPD, former Ambassador of Bangladesh to Oman, South Korea, and Thailand, former Principal of the Foreign Service Academy, and retired Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. His diplomatic experience added strategic depth to the dialogue.

He was accompanied by Tanvir Kabir, Founding Advisor of CSTPD and a career diplomat serving as Counsellor and Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Berlin, Germany, who contributed insights on policy and international cooperation.

The CSTPD team was warmly received by Ghanshyam Bhandari, Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh, together with Yojana Bamjan, First Secretary at the Embassy of Nepal in Bangladesh.This engagement reflects a shared commitment by both Bangladesh and Nepal to strengthen cooperation in science, innovation, youth development, and cultural exchange, paving the way for a more connected and collaborative regional future.
