He has represented Bangladesh in various international forums and held key positions such as CEO and Executive Advisor at BGCCI, Editor of “Deutsch Desh” Business magazine, and the monthly Business Bulletin.
His expertise spans trade, commerce, and investment related to Bangladesh. He served as Ambassador to Spain, Thailand, and Cambodia, Permanent Representative to UN-ESCAP and WTO, Deputy High Commissioner in the UK and Malaysia, and held diplomatic assignments in New York, Bangkok, London, Spain, and Kuala Lumpur. His final public office was as Principal of the Bangladesh Foreign Service Academy.
He was part of the International Observer Group for Ghana’s 2013 elections and holds degrees in Economics and Political Science, with further studies at Georgetown University and National Defence College, Dhaka. Currently, he is Editor of “Diplomats World” and Founder Director of The Dhaka Forum and Commonwealth Society. A Past President of the Rotary Club of Ramna, he enjoys golf and exploring historical and cultural sites.
